Welcome to the String Competition Online

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

String Competition Online (SCO) is an international online competition dedicated entirely to string musicians.


In its new format, SCO features Main Age Categories and optional Expert Categories, allowing performers to present their artistry both broadly and in specialized repertoire areas.

The competition welcomes soloists playing violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, harp, as well as performers of other traditional string instruments, and all kinds of ensembles — from string chamber groups to mixed-instrument ensembles and orchestras.

There are no age or nationality restrictions. In each category, the Jury awards Absolute Winner, Gold, Silver, Bronze Prizes and Laureate Titles, corresponding to a point system. The participant with the highest total score in a given edition receives the special title “Artist of the Season” and is prominently featured on the Winners page with a portrait photo and performance links.

No travel expenses: Apply online sharing links to your recordings.

HOW TO TAKE PART?

Record a Video of the repertoire you feel most comfortable with and that shows your skills at their best.
Upload the video to YouTube or a similar platform. Fill out and submit the Application Form
