Piano

Chamber music has always been her passion and a major activity in her artistic life. For many years she formed a piano trio, thanks to which she had the opportunity to get to know and explore a wide repertoire encompassing literature from classicism to contemporary times. Anna Krzeszowiec is a laureate of the first prize at the International Chamber Music Festival in Oleśnica (2010), as well as a finalist of the International Chamber Music Competition in Illzach (2011), J. Brahms International Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk (2012) and the 18th K. Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź (2013).

Since 2010 she forms a duo with the cellist Adam Krzeszowiec, with whom she received the 1st prize at the International Malta Competition in Mdina (Malta 2014) , Grand Prix at the Premio Citta di Padova competition in Padua (Italy 2013) and a distinction at the 1st National Competition for Duos with Piano in Warsaw (2011). Currently the artists are working on a recording of their own transcriptions of songs by F. Schubert and W. Korngold for cello and piano.

Anna Krzeszowiec is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the piano class of Prof. Wojciech Świtała and Piotr Sałajczyk. In the field of chamber music she studied in the class of Prof. Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska and Marek Moś. She also had the opportunity to work under the direction of the Russian pianist Anna Malikova and the Altenberg Trio: Amiram Ganz, Alexander Gebert, Claus-Christian Schuster. Piano and chamber music skills and musical horizons have been broadened by meetings with such artists as Dang Thai Son, Anthony Spiri, Bruno Canino, Ewa Pobłocka, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń and Andrzej Jasiński as well as Jelena Ocic, Jakub Jakowicz. 

As a soloist and chamber musician, she has taken part in the following festivals: the Warsaw Autumn Festival, the Silesian Quartet and its guests, the International Krzysztof Penderecki Festival – Level 320 in Zabrze, the Princess Daisy Ensemble Festival in Książ Podium Festival in Haugesund (Norway), the Chopin Recitals Festival in Żelazowa Wola, the P. Casals Festival in Pradesh, Festival of Young Music Competition Winners in Poland, Student Art Festival in Katowice, Symphonic Music Festival in Algeria, Music at the Castle in Lublin. She has performed works by leading Polish and foreign composers, including A. Zubel, P. Mykietyn and P. Szymański.

On a daily basis she works with students at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. She is also invited as a collaborating pianist by such institutions as the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Silesian Philharmonic. She has also conducted chamber music classes as part of the Chamber Music Workshops organized by the National Children’s Benefit Fund. 

Among her inspirations Anna mentions jazz music, as well as vocal music – mainly performed by English bands. For many years she sang in various chamber choirs.

In her free time she is interested in interior design and photography. She enjoys spending time in nature, especially with her daughters Klara and Zofia, which gives her a sense of relaxation and balance in life.
