String Competition Online (SCO) is an international online competition for string musicians of all ages and levels, created for performers who wish to present their artistry to an international jury in a flexible and professional format.

The competition is open to violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, harp, performers of other traditional string instruments, and all kinds of chamber ensembles — from string groups to mixed-instrument formations and orchestras.

In its current format, SCO features Main Age Categories and optional Expert Categories, allowing participants to present both their overall artistic level and their strengths in specific repertoire areas.

In each category, the Jury awards Absolute Winner, Gold, Silver, Bronze Prizes and Laureate Titles, according to a point-based system. The participant with the highest total score in a given edition receives the special title Artist of the Season and is prominently featured on the Winners page with a portrait photo and performance links.

HOW TO TAKE PART?

Record a video of the repertoire that best represents your skills and musical personality.
Upload the recording to YouTube or a similar public platform, then complete and submit the Application Form.
